Customize Text Alert for Online Order Status

Hi Guys & Gals

I'm going to assume the answer is no, but... is it possible to customize the text alerts for order updates? I know you can edit the email contents but I can't see a way to edit the text message and to be honest the default is a little cumbersome. Thanks.
