Why do Square Free subscribers in the USA have option of multiple websites but not Australia ?!!!

I am based in Australia.

I have two locations.

I use Square for Retail Free.

When researching options for a second website to manage the second location (since Square doesn't allow you to pull stock from multiple locations to service one fulfilment website), I found lots of articles but the option to do it wasn't appearing on my dashboard.

The article that came up when I googled, was apparently the US one although I didn't notice at the time which states that I would be eligible for this feature:

Who is this article for?
  • Account owners or team members with online permissions. Set permissions in Square Dashboard.
  • Square Online Free, Plus, and Premium subscribers
  • Square Free, Plus, and Premium subscribers

However, when I used the Australian version for support (via my Dashboard help), it appears that we have to pay for the location ($109 per month) to access this feature:

Who is this article for?
  • Sellers with online permissions. Set permissions in Square Dashboard.
  • Square Online Plus or Premium subscribers.

Why are we AGAIN being charged more for not being in the USA ?

Hi, @GoulburnWestern !

I totally get where you're coming from. I know a few sellers who have also ran into this same issue.

From what I understand, it has to do with how certain features roll out in different regions. It is probably some mix of regulations and platform differences. But, I can see how it feels like you're being penalized just for your location.

In the meantime, I’ve seen Sellers in Australia using a third-party integration or keeping separate catalogs per location. Not ideal, but better than paying that extra $100+ a month if your second site isn’t super active yet.

I will pass this feedback along to our developers and product teams as well.
