Why are options showing up in the Left navigation bar under my main categories?

Hey there -

I just noticed this, but when I go into a category on my online store, lets say "Bags and Baskets," underneath all the other categories on the L nav are ALL of the options for ANY item in my library that has the parent category "Bags and Baskets" in BOLD, with the arrow drop down option. This includes options for items that ARE NOT live on my online site.

This is a new thing. I have looked everywhere to see how I can turn this off, but I can't seem to find anything.

Any insight would be amazing. Thanks.

Ok, this might fix it for you.  go to your square dashboard ---- > Online ---->  Edit Website ----> Click on the left side dropdown to edit "Shop All"  ----->  Click on "Item List" in the right side window -----> scroll down on left side to "Sort & Filter" and turn that off.  I didn't look enough to see if you "need" that, for the most part it only allows customers to sort items, but will hide all those I believe.  It gets rid of all those options and only shows the categories.

@marc_nook I think if you look under your online dashboard and the categories tab you can select which categories show up under that "Sales Channel".  That is the flag that makes it show up or not.  So the categories you don't want to show, you would flag those there to not have your website as a sales channel.  See if that works for you.

@Donnie-M Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.  This would work if it was a category I didn't want displayed.  But for me, it's the OPTIONS that are found within specific products IN the category that are also showing on the L navigation bar.

All of the categories I want showing, are showing.  I don't want all the options showing as dropdowns in the L navigation bar under the categories.

@marc_nook Ok, I am not sure if there is a place under options to change that.  I know on modifiers you can hide them from square online.  I will have to investigate a little more, but now I understand what you are trying to restrict.  If you want to pm me the website I will take a look for you that way also.

Thank you SO much. That is the hidden, nested slider I was looking for.

Have a great one!
