Trouble with options

I am trying to add two options to a product, with one only being able to pair with one from the second. While I can get that work, I then can't make a different choice unless I leave the item page and go back in as it grays out the other choices. Is there a way around that?

Choice #1:

Large

Small

Mini

Choice #2:

1 Dozen

1/2 Dozen

Bag

If they choose mini, they can only choose bag. If clicked, you can't then change it. The pricing changes so I can imagine someone may browse the different choices but ultimately wish to change it.

Hi there, @TashasCookies,

Thanks for reaching out! I understand you're trying to set up conditional product options, specifically, making "Bag" the only available selection when "Mini" is chosen, while still allowing customers to change their selection afterward if they change their mind. Currently, Square's Item Variations and Modifiers don’t support conditional logic between options (e.g., limiting choices in one option based on another). The graying out you’re seeing is likely due to the system treating the combination as a unique variation and locking in the choice, which can unfortunately restrict flexibility when a customer wants to change their selection.

We recognize that more advanced option logic would be helpful, and I’ve shared your feedback with our product team. Please let us know if you'd like help setting this up or if you have any other questions, we’re happy to assist!
