Subcategories Not Showing

I actually have two separate questions (I am rather new and my business isn't exactly thriving yet, so be nice please lol)...

1. Is there a way to make it when customers click "shop all" that the page that comes up will show the different categories you have instead of all your items?

2. Once on the shop all page, when I click on a category it says "sorry results were found" instead of showing my subcategories. How does one change that? I do see that it says them down on the left-hand side but I am afraid customers will see that message and leave.

Hey @TheCraftRiotCo  No worries, Square Online can be a little confusing when you're first setting things up!

For your first question, there's actually a pretty good workaround. Instead of using the default Shop All page, you can create a new blank page and add a Featured Categories section. That'll show your categories with images that customers can click. Then just update your site's navigation so the Shop All link goes to your new page.

For your second question, Square doesn't automatically display subcategories when someone clicks a parent category. If there aren't any products assigned directly to that parent, customers can end up seeing that empty-results message.

One workaround is to create a page for each main category, with images or buttons linking to its subcategories. Another option is to assign products to both the parent category and their subcategories, although that won't give you the category-first layout you're looking for.

The good news is that you should be able to do this with Square Online's built-in page editor, without paying for another app or upgrading just for this workaround.

Here are a couple of helpful links:

I'd start with the Featured Categories page. I think it'll get you much closer to the shopping experience you're after.
