Square Online store - customer didn't show up in Customer Directory

In testing orders on our online store we placed some test orders. However, we're finding that although the customer info (name/email) appears in the Square Online Order portal, the customer associated with this order does NOT appear in our Square Customer Directory.
 
Any advise re: how to address this to ensure all customer information from the online store results in a customer record being created in the Square Customer directory would be appreciated, thank you.

Since these were test orders, were they paid using the same credit or debit card? 

The auto-creation of customer profiles is based on the card used to pay for a transaction. 

So if the card was already associated with a different customer, the new sale with that same card would be under that existing customer.

 

If that is not the case, I would recommend reaching out to our support team, as here in the Community, we have no access to your account information and cannot investigate issues with a particular transaction.

ah ok that may explain it - both test orders used seperate email addresses but the same CC 😣
