Square Online Notification

Hi, 

I would like to share my thoughts on online notification.

Due to COVID, we barely use square stand (pos system) at this point. 

Square online is something we depend on more than 90% of the time.

However, unlike doordash or ubereats, the online order notification is WAY TOO WEAK I almost lost a few orders. It just beeps once and that's it. Sometimes it doesn't even give you notification. It just shows on order list. 

As we all know if you work in the restaurant you don't stare at the screen all the time you need a loud notification to let the staff know we have orders coming in.

Currently though square notification is too weak. Like yesterday, my customer came in saying he's picking up but I didn't know I have order came in through square. We do not use square stand it's too bulky with other delivery tablets.  Please do something about this. Thank you

We are currently testing the New Order Notifications and I think it will greatly benefit your business especially since online ordering is your primary. 

 

I've gone ahead and enabled your account! 🚀 Just make sure that the Square POS app is up to date on version 5.70 or later. 

 

With the new order notifications, you'll receive push-level order notifications as seen below. This allows for you to manage the volume, ringtone, persistence, and other settings found in your iPad settings menu.
