Square Online Main Banner

I don't under stand why its so hard for square to give the measurements of the main banner. I have tried every possible combination of sizes and yet its always cut off and even some are blurry. when They look fine on the desktop they look terrible on mobile. When they look ok on mobile they are terrible on desktop. Can someone please tell me what the size of the main banner photo is suppose to be weather I use the image as a background of the image in the square placement holder......

Hello @sacredheart926 - I get why this is irritating. I checked with our Square Online Team, and they recommend using 2000 x 1000 px for background images, with an aspect ratio of 2:1.

No side should be more than 2000 pixels, so you can use that as a guide to pick the main banner size that looks best for your site. I hope this helps make things a bit easier!

@sacredheart926  Given that Square's webpages are created with responsive design in mind, you will have times when parts of the banner are cut off. This is to make sure the site shows up as best as possible on mobile, tablet and desktop. For that reason, we put general pictures of the store's interior. Even if the sides of the image are cropped, you can still see the majority of the store.
