Import Square menu and gift cards to new website

Finally having to leave Square online website because it doesn't allow our business to show up in AI search - completely invisible, since no schema markup, etc.  Anyone know if its possible to import Square menu, online ordering, Gift Cards etc to another platform like WordPress or Squarespace?

Hi @seaflowercafe

It's not possible to directly transfer your menu, online site, or gift cards to another platform, I'm afraid. To minimize disruption during your transition to another website provider, I'd recommend the following options:

Option 1: Supported Integration with Another Website Provider

Square offers seamless payment integrations with numerous eCommerce platforms through the Square App Marketplace. These official integrations allow you to:

- Sync your Square inventory with your new website
- Maintain consistent product information across platforms
- Process payments through your Square account
- Access your sales data in your Square Dashboard

To explore all available eCommerce integrations for your new website, visit the Square App Marketplace eCommerce category to find compatible solutions for platforms like WordPress, Wix, and others.

Option 2: Create a Square Online Ordering Page

If you'd like to completely maintain Square's online ordering functionality while building a website on another platform, you can create a dedicated ordering page:

- This allows you to add Square's ordering capabilities to any third-party website
- Simply link to your Square Online ordering page from your new WordPress or Squarespace site
- This solution makes accepting payments with Square simple, regardless of where your website is hosted
- To get started with an ordering page, please visit our Support Center for detailed instructions.

If You Choose to Keep Systems Separate

If you decide to go with another provider and keep your new website and Square account separate, you can export the following data from your Square Dashboard:

Export Your Item Library

You can export your complete item library as a CSV spreadsheet file:

- Sign in to your Square Dashboard
- Go to Items & services > Items > Item Library
- Click Actions > Export library > All items
- Select Excel as the file format (recommended)
- Click the Export button

This exported file will contain all relevant information about your items that you can use when setting up your new website.

Export Your Gift Cards Transaction History

To maintain records of your gift card transactions:

- On your Square Dashboard, go to Reports > Sales > Gift cards
- Use the date and location selectors to view the Summary report and Inter-Location Payables & Receivables report
- Click Export to download a comprehensive report

If you have any other questions about this transition, please let me know.

Thanks Katie!  Great help!

BTW, the ONLY reason I'm moving away from the Square website is there's no Schema Markup - and our business is COMPLETELY invisible on AI as a result. If Square could please resolve this.....?
