Square/Block/Weebly?

Hi

Weebly feautures and support are being reduced (for the same high cost by the way,

I have a simple site with a shop, annual costs to square/weebly/block not sure which it is: $1,134)

to me it seems fairly obvious that Square will eventually shut it down.

what will happen then if they decide at short notice to close it down?

my question is how do I transfer my site to another platform like Wix?

Hey @JYT_Art, thanks for reaching out. I completely understand how important costs are when you’re running a business. Just to clarify, you are currently paying 1,134 dollars for your Square Online plan. I’m also curious what is making you feel like your site might get shut down.

You can find information on how to transfer your domain out of Square here. If you have any questions, feel free to tag me. I’m happy to help!

thank you @MayaP,

I've been talking to Rald E. who's been very helpfull and knowledgeable.

I also realise that I have been paying too much since Square took over! this should have been mentioned to me.

I will change my plan to Square 'performance' when all my questions have been answered.

However once this is done, I will seek to get a refund for the cost difference since Square took over and offered the same service for $50 a month (!) less but didn't switch my, and I'm sure many other, site over.

I get the 'shutdown' impression since the support for weebly created (godfathered as you seem to call them) sites has been poor, features disappearing, an also the fact that the weebly site editor is so archaic compare to others and hasn't changed, been developed or improved for many years; this is also true of the newsletter editor, for which I pay another $96 a year.

I would think that if square wanted to keep its customers and become one of a leader again it would invest its client money in delivering a platform that is in line with it's time, not from another decade. and I'm not talking about AI which I despise.

still waiting for the correct team to adjust my plan so I can stop overpaying like i have done for the last two years!

I would expect immediate response and a huge apology! not to mention a refund.

instead I'm still waiting for something that I'm told 'happens instantly'.

Hey @JYT_Art  — I really appreciate your continued patience as our team works to get this resolved. I know it’s never easy to wait when money is involved. I see that our team escalated this to the Online team a few hours ago (Case # 113008321). I’d recommend continuing to work with them, as they have more insight into that side of things.

If you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’m happy to help!

work with them how? they haven't even contacted me

sill nothing!

appalling service.

No service, no real support, and the editor hasn't been developed, same bugs & glitches are still here since the last 8 years.

you understand why I have the feeling that Square will eventually shutdown Weebly.

It's like it's been left untouched for many years.
