Phantom categories on website

I have some old categories that I am no longer using. I've deleted them under the item categories but they are still on my website and I can't get rid of them.

Hi there @Ndmpkt.. So a couple of things could be going on here, depending on the type of business you have.

If you are a Square Retail seller, it's possible that you've got a ghost in your website.  The quickest and easiest way to fix this is to un-publish your website (web dashboard > Online > Websites > Website > Site Preferences > Scroll to bottom and find Unpublish button).  Then, republish it as usual and see if that works.

If you are a Square Restaurants seller, Square recently migrated our Categories to Menus.  You should have gotten a couple of emails about that when it happened.  This means a couple of things.  First, you can (if you want) delete the categories you used to use for online menu management.  Second, you need to start using Menus to update your online menus.
