Show customers weight of order during checkout

Currently, when a customer creates a order and places it, it show me how much their order weighs, is their a way for a customer to see the weight of their order during checkout? Or a way to prevent them from ordering over a limit we set? If it shows me the weight, why wouldn't it show the customer?

We use the weight of the order for shipping purposes, however, showing the shipping weight to the customer would be a feature request at the moment.

Thank you. We send packages to Prison Inmates, and they have a weight limit.

This feature is CRUCIAL to my being able to move my whole website over from woocommerce to square.  I need my customers to see their approach to the next shipping weight bracket - they love knowing they aren't paying to 'ship air', and they generally buy more, to fill the parcel to capacity for that shipping rate.

All we need is a toggle on/off in settings to 'show weights at checkout'
