I am a Service based business trying to keep track of items I use in my services, but do not sell at any point to clients, for the purpose of COGS. I am just running into walls. Is there any way that I can make each service have its own set list of items used in its process AND without making a whole list of items that are shown to clients during their checkout/invoice? 😢
Maybe create a Bundle link to creating a bundle : 8057-create-managing-bundles-with-square-for-retail
Then on the Bill / Invoice you type in the name given for the bundle. I used this when creating a bundle of candles to sell and would just type in the bundle name, I just do not remember if each type of Soap, Lotion, candle was printed in the invoice or the receipt.
So just for example type in Cleaning, and then your cleaning supplies like Windex would be reduced by how much you have in for the amount per that service, along with other items that are also used that you purchase.
So on my virtual Terminal I put Gift Set 1 in the cart and that is all that shows with the price. All the items from inventory to make gift set 1 are not listed but would be reduced from inventory.
