Scheduled auto-shutoff for sale pricing

You used to have scheduled auto-shutoff for sale pricing as an option and it has been removed. Access to this particular feature (not the same as applying discounts) was so helpful. Being able to schedule the end of a sale and the return to regular pricing was so helpful. I’d really love to have this feature back. Thanks for your consideration. -Stacey

Do you mean setting sale prices for the online site? When you enter the "sale price" in the items catalog, that does not have an expiration or rules.

If you'd like to set up a sale, you can create a discount. With the discount you can set up rules such as particular items, qty, etc. Once you have selected the type of discount and how it is applied, you will be able to set a schedule for the discount.

The downside is that it doesn't add a red sales marker, at least not for me because I don't have a paid online subscription. I just use the free one. It does add a grey marker with the discount name on the items it applies to.

Sale pricing, I assume, meaning automatic discounts? If so, you can set up a start and stop time via the create & edit discounts section.

Items & Services > Discounts > create discount > toggle discount rules on > Choose an option > scroll down to discount schedule > set schedule, or you can set a date range.

Thanks for the comments. I understand the discount option AND that’s not what I’m looking for. I’m asking Square to bring back a setting they used to have available to *end sale pricing at a precise time/day*. I understand that I could use discounts but it isn’t the same. It’s okay if you’re unfamiliar with the specific function I’m referencing.

I understand you posted this in feature requests but it's a feature that was sunset because discounts exist. They are going to simply refer you back to discounts.

Sale pricing is even deeper in the item creation flow than before.
