Buy button shows up but you cannot add to the cart

I have been trying for 4 hours to get this to work and nothing has worked yet!  You can see the add to cart button, but when you click on it there is no cart for it to go into?  What am i doing wrong?

Can you link your website so we can see, or are you using the preview mode? You cannot add to cart in preview mode.

Ok, go into your dashboard, then go to Online > Online Store.

Once that page loads up, go to settings and under shared settings you will see "checkout".

in there at the bottom under advanced you will see the setting for buy now or add to cart.

if you need more assistance let me know, I'm on my phone so it looks a bit different than it would on my PC.
