I saw a thread discussing this with still active comments asking about the option to hide addresses for home based businesses.
My suggestion is if we have it set where we coordinate time for pickup, it should show a city and state for the pickup location with a notice that the seller will contact them to schedule a pickup time and address. Then we as the seller can provide a pickup address when we coordinate pickup with the customer.
This would also prevent from any overzealous customers from showing up unannounced prior to their order being ready for pickup. But it also prevents customers who do not purchase anything from showing up assuming that there is a storefront open to the public.
It's unfortunate that someone brought this up in 2020 and square team members mentioned that the feature development team wasn't working on it and have proceeded to get folks requesting updates nearly 6 years later with no change in status.
