Promoting coupons on my Square Online site

It seems to me that the only way to make a store-wide sale in Weebly is to create a coupon.

I can promote this coupon code on the main store page and other external means, but if I share a link to a specific item's purchase page... how do I make the coupon code known to the customer?

Ideally, I want a store-wide sale with the same effect that manually entering a sale price on each item does, but without having to manually enter each item's sale price. I'm willing to work with coupons, but only if I can easily display the code on all pages of my store, specifically the item pages themselves.

I could use pop-ups, but I hate interrupting the customer's browsing experience and I can't guarantee they wouldn't accidentally close the popup and have trouble getting the information again. I would rather have it display nicely on the page above the item to purchase. Any suggestions?

Edit: I'm thinking about editing my company logo image used in the header to show the logo and the promo code. There has to be an easier way though.

Hi @Fine-Line thanks for posting. This is currently a feature request to be able to initiate a store-wide sale and make it also mark down each item. You can always manually mark down each item to get the "sale" in the item image, but that will have to be done manually for each item.

The other options I know you have explored, but banners and pop up notifications are the only other way forward.

I will be sure to share this feedback with the development team so that they understand our sellers are looking for a little more control and customization over their online sales. Thank you!

Thank you @AshleyK for the straight-forward and thorough reply.

It's unfortunately all too common to have support people read only the gist of a customer's question and post a link to a how-to page that doesn't really answer the question. It wastes everybody's time and frustrates the customer even more.

I really appreciate the care and understanding shown in your response.

Now get those programmers working on this feature so it doesn't take over 4 hours to temporarily adjust the prices for a simple sale! 😉

Note: I noticed that a promo code is currently added to the price of an already manually discounted item, making it even cheaper than the sale price. Please make sure to pass along to the developers that specific store discounts should have the option to ignore promo codes. Thank you.

Any update 6 months later?

Having a store-wide sale without having customers input discount codes is a pain right now.

We don't have any updates at this time. Is this something you are interested in for a one time or semi-regular sale, or do you plan on doing something that reoccurs on the regular? i.e. sandwich specials every Saturday
