Products Not Available

I am setting up the website and testing the order process.

I created an item, added various items, and made it 'Visible', but they appeared as 'Not Available'.

 

Please check and assist with this issue.

Thanks @ryanwanner for your troubleshooting steps. I'll provide some of my own below as well. 

 

Common Reasons for "Not Available" Status:
  1. Inventory Settings:

    • Check if you have enabled item tracking without setting an initial quantity
    • Items with zero inventory will show as "Not Available"
    • Solution: Either add inventory or disable tracking if not needed
  2. Item Availability Settings:

    • Go to the item settings in your Square Dashboard
    • Verify the following:
      • "Sold Online" is enabled
      • "Available for sale" is toggled on
      • Item visibility is set to "Visible"
  3. Price Settings:

    • Ensure the item has a price set
    • Items without prices will show as unavailable 
  4. Verify Fulfillment Settings:

    • Go to Items → Select Item → Edit
    • Check "Fulfillment Details" section
    • Ensure appropriate fulfillment methods are enabled:
      • Shipping
      • Pickup
      • Delivery
  5. Check Shipping Profile:

    • Navigate to Online Store Settings → Shipping
    • Verify shipping profiles are:
      • Properly configured
      • Assigned to correct items
      • Have valid rates and zones
  6. Pickup Settings

    • Pickup Time Slots:

      • Verify available pickup windows
      • Confirm pickup capacity limits
  7.  Delivery Settings

    • Delivery Zone Problems:
      • Check delivery radius
      • Verify delivery fee structure
      • Confirm delivery hours

Hello @AABC !

 

I have a couple of ideas for you to try here. I just checked that link and can confirm that it's unavailable for me as well, and since I'm replying a couple of hours after your post it's safe to assume it isn't a server delay in updating the item.

 

-Usually this has to do with a fulfillment mismatch. If your item is set for shipping, for example, and your site isn't configured for shipping, I've seen this error thrown. Always make sure every item matches what the website is expecting for fulfillment visibility.

Website fulfillment can be configured at Dashboard -> Account & Settings -> Fulfillment -> Online Pickup and Delivery / Shipping.

Item fulfillments can be configured in your item editor (look for the Fulfillment section) or bulk edited by selecting your items from your library, clicking Actions at the bottom right, then Update fulfillment methods.

 

-Make sure your item's type is set correctly. It looks like you're using the Shop All template for your site right now. If your item type is set for Food & Beverage, I've seen times where the Shop All template throws random errors. I recommend for your bread and coffee business to switch your website template to the Order Online version: there are a lot of cool bells and whistles available for food operations with the order online template that aren't available on the Shop All template.

You can change that by going to Dashboard -> Online -> Website -> Edit Site. Click the down arrow on your pages list at the top, find Shop All, hover your mouse over it, click on the three dots, and change the template.
