Online Order fulfillment times are wonky!

Hi there!

I’ve been going round and round on this issue, maybe someone here can help!

We are a takeout restaurant and have pickup hours 11-1 for lunch and 4-7 dinner. We want to offer preorders or orders on demand. So we have 30 minute prep set, fulfillment 11-1 & 4-7.

Here’s where things are weird:

- Checking the radio button to allow customers to choose a time in pickup windows does NOT work, it automatically schedules the next open time, which we do NOT want. Why?

- We have to allow scheduling a week in advance for them to be able to pick a time. And then they can choose for today or any day this week. Why?

- When they pick a time, the first available time is 30 minutes after fulfillment hours begin FOR THE FIRST LUNCH, (11:30 instead of 11:00) but the rest of the week the times are 11:00 start, and dinner is on time as well. Why? We want 11:00 today! I tried adjusting our hours in the dashboard so we are “open” and maybe fool the system? I don’t want to set fulfillment hours as 10:30 to bypass this because then people will be able to order for future days at 10:30… but ONLY future days. I also can’t set prep time to 0 because we will be overwhelmed during a rush.

- We get order fulfillment time slots every 15 minutes but not for the final hour, unless I change the time to 1:05, which throws off dinner times! Why can’t orders be picked up at 1:00 if our fulfillment hours are until 1:00?
- Order times starting on time are every 15 minutes, and we have the numbers set to cap orders for every 15. However, if someone orders at 11:05, the next available time isn’t 11:45, it’s 11:35, which seems to throw off the order caps, as we still get more orders than we set during the 15 minute period. We are REALLY small and too many orders in a rush can be overwhelming. I’m confused why we can choose a limit yet we get more anyway? Or why we can’t choose the pickup duration? I want pickup times to be every 15 minutes and not adjust throughout the day.

Basically, I REALLY want the order fulfillment to work as claimed and I’m confused as to why it doesn’t. Does anyone have the ability for customers to pick a time on the CURRENT day and it actually works? Previously I had to use a modifier with times to choose from, and then turned off automatically setting times, but that means there is NO way to limit orders during a rush, right? Also then the KDS doesn’t display based on times either.

What do other people do besides switch to another platform (which we are on the verge of doing!!)? HELP!

Thanks!
