No tracking number

Hey there. I am not a vendor, I am a customer of a vendor that uses square. I purchased an item on the vendor's online square store. For over two weeks it stayed at "confirmed" instead of moving to the "on the way" or "shipped" stage. It wasn't until after I contacted them a handful of times that it just updated to "shipped". However, there is no tracking number or information. At this point, I don't trust this vendor and would really like to have a tracking number. I guess my question is, why isn't the tracking number included in my confirmation emails? How do I go about getting that information if the vendor won't provide it?

@CustomerHelp5 Sorry to hear about the problems you are having. When you place an order through a Square website, for the item to be marked as shipped the seller has to enter a tracking number. Did you receive an email from the seller just saying it was shipped or was it an email from Square stating the order has been shipped?  One other thing if the seller dropships, it could take a couple of weeks for the order to be shipped and if it is drop shipped from China it could take another couple of weeks for it to arrive. Also the tracking fromChina is not the best in the world.  I hope you will receive your order soon.

It was an email from square saying it was shipped. If it requires a tracking number for them to ship, that gives me a lot of peace of mind. Thank you.

Hopefully it is just a drop shipment and your item is on the way. Below is what pops up when I mark an item as shipped. I enter the tracking number there and the carrier. Drop shipping may be a little different since they wouldn't have the tracking number on  hand, since they didn't do the shipping.
