New Dashboard Customization

First of all, I really don't like the new dashboard. It takes so much longer to find and get to what you need not to mention having to click back through all the options to go back instead of just hitting the back button.  

Is there ANY way to customize this horrible layout? I have a section for tasks that is at the top of my dashboard home that has no relevance to me, and even when I click the task to hopefully make it go away, it stays there. I had my dashboard configured just how I wanted it, and now nothing makes any sense.

If you had an option to do this, would that fix it for you?

Basically, a little button to bring up a custom overlay for your shortcuts?  (I may or may not have a custom plug in for chrome to fix/do this).

Thank you for reaching out, @piddlinpottery! I am sorry to hear that you aren't liking the new Dashboard setup. @Donnie-M offers a good suggestion, are you able to view that on your side?

The other suggestion I have is we do offer widgets that are available on iOS devices to help customize your Dashboard from an iOS device. Here is a helpful Square support article with more details on getting that setup if you are interested.

I agree and the suggested solution is not a solution.  I use the dashboard from a PC.  The new dashboard forced on us has buried the useful features I'd set up on the top of the left hand menu.  Now I have to click multiple layers or use the search to get to where I want to go.  This is really a terrible "upgrade" if there is no method for customization.   I want the features I use regularly on top, just one click away.  I don't want to click down and I don't want to keep typing into search.

I also agree that a lot is buried.. thankfully I just use the search feature to find what I'm looking for- it's super annoying of how "nested" everything is.

Definitely not a fan of the new homescreen. The order volume chart is pretty useless to us. I liked seeing performance top of the screen with a default of vs prior day last week. Being able to shift some of these elements without additional actions like scrolling and clicking into other menus would be nice.
