My cities sales tax is 8.6% yet when I view deliveries I notice customers are charged 11.045%....

I can not edit this tax amount. Nowhere in my settings do I even see 11.045%! My sales tax is set properly at 8.6%.

Anyone know what is going on?!

From your online Square dashboard, go to Online -> Settings -> Sales Taxes.  You’ll see one or more tax rates that Square believes apply to your delivery.  Click on Learn More to view a help document on that.

If you click the Edit button, a screen will pop up, showing how Square came up with the higher percentage.  Here you can turn off “automatically calculate taxes” and change rates, local tax overrides (if applicable) and so forth.  You can also delete tax rates.

I’d only say be certain that you aren’t forgetting other tax authorities (state, county, etc) that might be adding to the 8.6%, resulting in what Square thinks you should be charging.

Good luck!
