Issues with Online Taxes

my sales taxes are not showing up on orders placed online. I have tried everything to fix this I have tried everything to have my sales tax show up on my website orders.  Nothing is working.  in person it is fine.  HELP

While it's great to hear that in-person tax is working correctly, it sounds like there may be a configuration issue specific to your online store. To better assist you, please check the following:

 

  1. Online Sales Tax Settings: Log in to your Square Dashboard, go to Account & Settings > Business > Sales Taxes, and ensure that your tax rate is applied to your online store location.

  2. Item Settings: Double-check that your items are marked as taxable within the Items section of your Square Dashboard.

  3. Shipping Regions: Verify that sales tax is configured correctly for the states or regions where you’re shipping orders. This can be done under Square Online > Settings > Taxes.

  • Are all online orders affected or only orders from specific locations?
