Issue uploading mobile-edited videos to my square online store......

quick question — has anyone run into issues uploading product videos or promo clips to their square online store directly from mobile? I’ve been editing content on my phone using capcut android and while it works great for visuals, sometimes the uploads fail or glitch when I try to use them on Square. Could it be a formatting issue from the exported files or something Square doesn’t support natively? Would love to hear if anyone’s figured out a smooth workflow between these kinds of editors and the platform. Thanks in advance!

@dipendra7845 Welcome to the community. Square Online only supports certain formats for direct upload (most reliably .MP4, H.264 codec, AAC audio). CapCut’s export defaults can vary — some presets use HEVC/H.265 or higher bitrates that can cause Square to reject or glitch the file. Large file sizes from high-res exports (4K, high frame rate) may time out during mobile uploads. Uploading from mobile browsers sometimes causes issues, especially on unstable connections.

I would check this on Capcut:

Adjust CapCut Export Settings (Android)

 Format: MP4

Resolution: 1080p (Square will compress anyway; no need for 4K unless you’re hosting elsewhere)

Codec: H.264

Frame Rate: 30 fps (stable for web)

Bitrate: 8–12 Mbps (balanced size & quality)

Audio: AAC

Compress Before Upload (Optional)

Use CapCut’s “Smaller File” export option, or an app like Video Compressor Panda.

Keeps files under ~50–100 MB for smoother Square uploads.

Hopefully this will fix the issue.
