Is there a guide for Square Online SEO?

It would be nice for a step-by-step guide on SEO, H1 tag, when first creating a website. Lots of people just starting out do not realize the importance of SEO in their marketing program.

That is awesome! I will definitely check it out, I would love to get my site selling.. It is very slow, I am learning more about SEO, I will admit, there is more to creating your own website than I thought.. LOL.

@Hallowedrift awesome! It definitely is a process and something that isn't a quick fix either. Hopefully the guide is a good jumping off point to get you started!

I usually start with the basics like making sure each page has one clear H1 and a short, human-friendly title, then I work my way into keyword placement and internal links. If you ever feel stuck with off-page stuff like backlinks, something like https://crowdo.net/foundation-package can give you a decent baseline so you’re not building everything from scratch. It pairs pretty well with Square Online’s on-page settings.

For Square Online, I usually keep it simple: one clear H1 per page, short page titles, and product descriptions written the way people actually search. Adding a quick Q&A section on key pages helps a lot, too. This article, https://crowdo.net/blog/ai-search-revolution-website-still-matters/, gave me a good sense of why structured content and repeat mentions matter for both SEO and newer AI-driven searches.

Yes — SEO for Square Online is important, but it’s slow. You’re right that a lot of beginners don’t realize how long it actually takes to see real traffic from Google (often 3–12 months).
Quick SEO Starter Guide for Square Online:

Title Tags (most important): Go to your page → Settings wheel → SEO → Write a short, keyword-rich title (50-60 characters max). Example: “Handmade Art Prints | Hallowedrift Artistry LLC”
H1 Tags: Use one clear H1 heading per page (your main headline). Square usually auto-generates this from your page title — just make sure it matches what people actually search for.
Meta Descriptions: Same SEO section — write 1-2 sentences that describe the page and include your main keywords.
Square’s Official Guide (very good): https://squareup.com/us/en/the-bottom-line/starting-your-business/seo-guide-for-business
Extra tips: Add alt text to images, create a blog with 400-500 word posts, submit your site to Google Search Console, and get listed on Google Business Profile.

But here’s the truth: While you’re waiting for SEO to kick in, you need fast revenue.
That’s why we use ReturnFlowHQ alongside Square Online.
ReturnFlowHQ connects in one click to your Square account and runs AI-powered SMS marketing on autopilot. You can start sending personalized offers, abandoned cart reminders, and re-engagement texts immediately — 98% open rates and results in days, not months.
We’re running it for our Straws locations and it drives way faster repeat sales and online orders than waiting on Google rankings.
If you want customers now while SEO builds in the background: https://www.returnflowhq.com/
Highly recommend doing both — but SMS will pay the bills while SEO grows.
Anyone else combining SMS + Square Online? What’s been your experience?
