I need help activating the service charge option on my site.

I need to activate the service charge option on my online site. I have followed all the instructions and watched the video, the button in my settings to toggle "on" is grey and doesn't let me click it.  HELP PLEASE!!

Here are the instructions I followed:

Square Online

When creating a service charge, you can automatically apply the service charge to Square Online orders fulfilled via pickup, delivery or QR code ordering. To do so, toggle on Apply automatically to Square Online orders and choose which fulfillment types you want the service charge to apply to.

I would like to upload/attach a screenshot of what I see, so you can see that it's grey and I can't click on it.  But I don't know how. 😞

Hi, @npysu ! 

1. Log in to your Square Dashboard (not Square Online)

2. Go to Settings > Service Charges

3. Click “Create Service Charge”

4. Give it a name 

5. Choose:

   • Fixed $ amount or percentage

   • Whether it’s taxable

   • Whether it’s automatically applied or optional

If the toggle is still grey, try using a desktop browser (not mobile) and make sure you're signed in as the account owner. 

To Apply It to Square Online Orders

1. Go to Online > Settings > Checkout

2. Scroll to Service Charges

3. Select the charge you created in the Dashboard

4. Set it to apply automatically at checkout

Can you try these steps to see if they work for you? 

To upload pictures or screenshots here in the community follow these steps: 

• In the message editor, click the camera icon 

• Upload your image from your device (JPG, PNG, GIF)

• Add any text, then click “Post”
