I accidentally disconnected my domain.

I accidentally disconnected my domain. It has said that it will connect pending DNS verification. I have verified all the info is connect, talked to two different agents, and  four days later, it still won't connect. What do I do next?

@BoozeysBiscotti There are a few things you can check.

 

1 Go to this website and it checks to make sure your website is pointed to square the address should be 199.34.228.164

 

DNS Checker 

 

2. If it’s not pointing to the address you will need to log into to your hosting provider and change the settings.

 

 

  • Go to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Google Domains, Namecheap).
  • Locate your domain's DNS settings or DNS management section.
  •  

Ensure your DNS records match the ones Square Online requires. Typically, you'll need:

A Records

  • Host: @
  • Points to: 199.34.228.164

CNAME Record

  • Host: www
  • Points to: your Square Online site address (e.g., yourwebsite.square.site).

Remove any conflicting DNS records, such as A or CNAME records pointing to a different provider.

 

 

After that is done then 

Verify the Connection in Square Online

  1. Log in to your Square Online Dashboard.
  2. Go to Website > Domains.
  3. Select your domain and click Verify or Reconnect.
  4. Wait for Square to verify the updated DNS settings.

Hopefully this will get your site up and running again.
