How to avoid duplicate orders with payment links?

Hi there! I have ticket orders set up as online payment links. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Customers are accidentally ordering twice and it's accepting their payment twice. The problem seems to be at checkout, once they put in their info and hit place order, the page doesn't load. This makes them think that the order didn't go through, so they go through the process again.

 

HELP - It's frustrating having to refund these orders and pay for the card fee each time. Plus, customers are frantically calling because we charged them twice.

 

Are there any settings that I can adjust? 

 

Do I need to redo the payment links?

Is this happening only on mobile devices, or are you seeing the issue on a computer as well? Does switching browsers make any difference? Let’s also try deleting and re-adding the link.
