Hi @smoothemporium - Welcome to The Seller Community, it's always nice to see a new face 😊

A great way to generate more sales would be to set up SEO for your online store.

SEO can increase your web traffic by ensuring that your website features in relevant searches, and so draws in visitors. So-called Organic SEO is the process of obtaining a natural placement on search engine results pages.

To set up SEO for your entire Square Online site:

  • In your Square Online Overview page, go to Website > SEO.
  • Under Search Engine Optimization (SEO), select Update SEO to add SEO details.
  • Select Save when finished.
  • Publish your website from the Square Online site editor to see the changes live.

I hope this helps.

As always, feel free to stop by The Community with question, concerns and even feature requests. We are more than happy to assist.

Hi and Welcome 🙂

I'd be happy to offer some suggestions but can you tell us a little more about your business and your target customer?

Your best bet is SEO (Search Engine Optimization for Google, Bing, etc.) since your customers will most likely find you through a one of those. @Ria has listed some of the options Square Online has to offer, however...

If you're looking to take any control of how search engines, this may not be the best option for you. I recently found out the platform's limitations through multiple chats with staff and supervisors over 48hrs of trying to either have them change or allow me to change some SEO basics to allow Google and Bing index your site (and allow it to be found on Google).

In the direct words of their support, "No, this platform wasnt designed for indepth HTML or SEO alterations."

So direct editing of H1 Title tags for home page, 301 directs from home page http/www to https, and canonical url tags (what I contacted them for) is not possible from them or doing it yourself. I do wish they would reflect this in their advertising so it is clear to customers who have transitioned or are about to transition from another platform to Square Online (I came from WordPress where I was able to complete my SEO in hours and the website showing in Google in just a few days).

If you have questions on these, feel to ask. I only give direct, straightforward answers though. lol
