Can you explain how you got the categories on your front page?

I used an image gallery sections and linked the pictures to the appropriate pages.

Thank you again for your feedback. The problem with adding text on top is that I can't use the custom text I use for my business name.

Also, it seems no matter how hard I try, no matter what size or shape of a photo I use, it doesn't look right in both the website and the phone. One or the other is cut off, or way too big. I have fought with this from day one of using square and am seriously considering moving to a different platform.

Do you have a version of your header image that doesn't have text on it? The text is cut off for me; if you have one without text then you can add the text separately on top. I'd also consider moving up your "welcome to Misti's Jewelry Boutique" section higher on the page. Lastly, near the bottom of the homepage you have three "back to top" links; I would consider removing all but the last one of the three just to tighten up the bottom of the homepage a bit.

Adding a new homepage would be a great update for the site. Here's what I would do:

1. Add a new page and use the option the settings for the page to make it the homepage.

2. To that page, add a featured items or categories section, an "About Us" section, and a "contact us" section.

3. You could also add a header section with the business name and a catchy phrase, along with a relevant image.

I have to agree with Max on this one, @JoeTend - your site looks great! Your site's look is super consistent and on-brand and has all the information I'd want to see on any online store. About the only thing I can think of is you could try turning on customer reviews, and also include a few testimonials on the homepage.

Thanks for sharing, @ClassyRascals! I really like the image you use as your header image on the front page. It grabs your attention and it's fun!

The first thing you could consider is removing "the shop" text link in your site navigation. You have the shop now button on the right, and removing it will allow the "baby boy" page to be shown next to "baby girl". I'd also consider adding site links to your footer since a lot of people scroll to the footer right away for links. Lastly, with your featured categories, I wonder if you want to try using a different button/text color combination. It's a little difficult to read the text - another option might be a little easier to read.

Congrats on launching your online store, @loribradeen! You're off to a really great start.

A couple quick things you could do with your site:

1. I noted a few different places where you mention customers contacting you with contact info. You might consider adding a "contact me" page and linking to it in your site navigation to make that quick to find.

2. I really liked reading the process you use to make your pieces (I've always been interested in making pottery). I feel like you could take the part from "what handmade means to me" where it's steps of your your process, then move that to a new page called "process", or something like that. You could use different sections for each section and even use pictures with them.

Overall your site is fantastic, but I want to call out a few specific things that you don't see every day:

- The header looks great. Your logo is appealing, and the background image is on-theme and interesting without being too busy. The headline text is compelling, and you've got call-to-action buttons. 

- Your home page is laid out really nicely and the content provides a nice overview of what you offer.

- I really like that you have helpful text alongside your contact form on the "Contact Us" page. 

- Love the "About" page, too - it's just the right length and adds a nice personal touch that feels really in line with your brand.

As far as what you could add, maybe you can include your Instagram feed. I know we advise that a lot, but people do love Instagram, and it never hurts to have a ready supply of fresh content for your home page. 😉
