I have a Coffee Cafe. To sell coffee online there are several modifiers (e.g. Milk Type, Flavor). I charge $1.00 for the first modifier and nothing for each modifier selected after the first one. For example if one flavor is selected, I charge $1.00. If two flavors are selected, I charge $1.00 because I only add 1/2 as much for each flavor. If a flavor and a special milk type is selected, I still charge $1.00. Anyone know how to do this? I don't need to use modifiers if there i another way to do this.
Hi @FiddleLeafCafe. Currently, there is not a way to accomplish what you want with modifiers. Trust me when I say that this is an oft-requested feature (more flexible modifier options), but so far it does not exist. The only way I know to make this work in a foolproof manner (especially online) is to have two items — one for “plain/black,” and the other for “doctored” coffee drinks. If you did this, you can price the plain one at one price, and the doctored one at the higher price. Also, you’d ONLY attach modifiers to the doctored one.
Other than that, I can’t think of a way to do what you want that would ensure that customers can’t cheat and order something they don’t pay for, as well as get overcharged in other cases. Hopefully this will get resolved in the near future. I, for one, have requested conditional modifiers, nested modifiers, modifier quantities, and more. Maybe one day!
