Featured Items carousel arrow disappears after first click on mobile

Hi there,
I’m using the Featured Items carousel layout in Square Online (Weebly). On desktop it works fine, but on mobile I’m seeing an issue with the navigation arrows:

  • The next arrow shows when the first product is displayed. After I click it once to move forward, the arrow disappears completely, even though there are more products.

  • The previous arrow also only shows briefly, then disappears once tapped.

  • After that, users can only swipe manually to move between products.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a known limitation or bug? Is there a workaround to keep the arrows consistently visible and usable on mobile?

Hi @SivaKrish!

What you're experiencing is actually expected behaviour for the featured items carousel on mobile.

I've tested this on my own demo website and viewed it live on my iPhone 13, and I'm having the same experience you described. After checking your site on my phone as well, I noticed that manual scrolling is indeed required after the initial navigation arrow interaction.

Currently, there are two options available:

Enable the 'Make Carousel Auto-Scroll' Feature

This allows the carousel to automatically cycle through your featured items without requiring manual interaction. There's also four scroll speed settings to choose from. To toggle this on from your site editor, click on the featured items section and scroll down to Customize > Layout and color. 

Submit a Feature Request

If you'd like to see this functionality enhanced, I'd encourage you to submit your feedback through our Ideate board. This ensures our Product Team will have visibility of your suggestion for improving the featured item carousel navigation experience on mobile.
