Square Online - Collecting Import Taxes

Now that US tariff exemptions have ended and we are required to collect import taxes for items shipping to the US, is there a recommended way of doing that with Square Online?

I have a Square Online site where I sell a small number of items from the UK. I've got shipping set up based on the weight of the order which has worked well in the past but doesn't allow for the additional percentage fee on the price of goods.

I see I can set up taxes by region but for the US that is a per state value and so that doesn't seem right as this isn't a state tax.

I'm not sure of the answer to this one myself, so I'm going to consult with the Square Online team on this one to get the best answer for you.

Hi @randomworks good question but I don't think there is currently a way to do this I'm afraid. It may be something Square are looking at but with the uncertainty and the continual change I suspect they will hold off implementing any changes just yet until the dust settles, just in case they change again, you never know!
