Since I can't sort or filter by variations of a product ...
It would be great if Square could treat variations of your inventory items for what they are - which is a unique product. They already have their own prices, and SKU's. But not their own *checkout link*.
If each variation had it's own unique checkout link I could do my own queries and direct links to my products by size (variation)!
Alternatively, if Square could allow a checkout link to be proceeded by a SKU in the URL - that would also work (ie https://checkout.square.site/buy/STRINGOFSTUFF#SKU101)
@mvbcbeer thank you for taking the time to share! I will push this feedback to our development team. Have a nice day! 🙂
Agree that this would be awesome. I sell fine art prints in various sizes at a few different satellite retail locations where I get paid directly (currently through venmo). Square is pretty appealing but it just doesn't quite have the feature set for me to switch over yet. The checkout link feature is basically useless to me until it allows me to link to a specific variation (i.e. a specific print size, framed or unframed, etc.). Otherwise customers who use the link would be confronted with a choice to select any size / configuration for the item when really they are trying to purchase one specific configuration (variation) and what they need is a purchase button with a specific price indicated.
Was there ever any movement on this feature? My company is selling tickets on square, and the ability to link directly to the variation for a specific performance would be a big help.
Hello @Alchemy_Theatre
Thank you for taking the time to share your interest in this feature. At this time there are no updates to Checkout Links being available for variations. I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.
Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
