Does the Zebra DS2208 barcode scanner work with a Square Register?

Hi.

We would like to sell eGift cards. Customers will then pay in-store with barcode/QR code displayed on their phone.

I believe the DS2208 works well reading from phone screens.

This of course requires that the DS2208 will work with the Square Register.  

Does anybody have this working? Any special configuration required?

I reached out to our team recently to see if any new scanners were added to the compatibility list. The Zebra DS2208, DS9308 and DS9908 would all be compatible with your Square Register, but I've followed up to confirm that 

eGift cards can be scanned this way. If you've enabled the Apple Wallet integration for eGift cards, your customer would be able to tap their Apple device, rather than scanning the card.

We are using the DS2208 and it work fine.

For apple devices it will read the QR code but for android you will need to use the barcode.
