Deleted All Items But They're Still Showing on My Website — Please Help!

Hi everyone,

I’m really hoping someone here can help me out because I’ve hit a total wall.

I recently deleted all of the items from my Square account to start fresh with a new setup. Everything looked good on the backend—nothing in my item library, no inventory showing up… But somehow, several products are still showing live on my website.

The weird part? These items are nowhere to be found in my dashboard or item library. I can’t edit or remove them because they technically don’t exist from my end. I’ve cleared my cache, tried different browsers, devices—you name it. I even read a ton of forum posts and blogs, but nothing has worked.

Has anyone else dealt with this and found a solution? I’m feeling super stuck and could really use some guidance.

How long did you wait after deleting your items before checking your website? Changes are not instant. Changes to items take a bit to sync. You made this post 11 hours ago, is that still the case? Can you link your website to show us?

The items were actually deleted over a month ago, not just recently. I only made this post out of total frustration after weeks of trying everything I could think of. So yes—unfortunately, the issue is still happening 11+ hours later, and has actually been going on for quite some time.

I’ve unpublished and republished the site multiple times, cleared cache, tried different browsers and devices, and double-checked everything in both the Square Dashboard and the Online site editor. These 24 items no longer exist anywhere in my back office—but somehow, they’re still showing publicly on the live website.

I am having this same issue. I have 3 items that I have deleted several months ago, and I cannot find them anywhere in my back office. I have removed everything and readded items and these 3 items will not leave my website.

I have the same issue. An item that has previously been deleted is showing on my website! I have tried all of the usual fixes and nothing has worked.

I am also having this issue still.  Including different variations of items that I've since edited and deleted are showing up on the website with required modifiers that don't make sense with that item.  Our online ordering has shrunk over the last year or two and I can't say it's not at least partly due to the fact that it is very inconsistent in it's functionality.

I am too having this problem. The images are not even in the image library! I have tried everything and nothing is sorting this problem out,

It sounds like a lot of people are having this problem (myself included, with an item's variations). Other than having to create a duplicate item with correct variations (which I would rather not do), is there an actual fix to this issue?

I have items that were deleted a long time ago and when I was adding an item to my website, I only noticed it when I went to preview. This item is not showing up as being there while I am editing, just on the published site. I noticed that "site items" was removed from the dashboard, which is not a change for the better btw. I need to be able to remove all items that were originally linked to the website but are now deleted in the library. I assumed since it was linked, it would be removed when deleted. I understand everyone's frustration. This seems to have been an issue for quite awhile now and with all of the "upgrades" that have been made to make adding items easier, that this problem would have been addressed with the new changes. Has anything been resolved? This type of issue can seriously hurt a business online when so many items show up that aren't even available, not just out of stock.
