Hi there,
The "pickup after" language which shows up on the order confirmation screen and in emails is VERY problematic!
First off, it's confusing for customers. On one screen, they choose - say - 12pm as a pickup time and it says, "Pickup at 12pm". But on the confirmation screen and in the email it says "Pickup AFTER 12pm." Customers are constantly confused by this (understandably so!). These two different phrases mean two different things, so which set of instructions should they follow??
Also, no one wants to wait, so if it's going to be ready "after 12pm", WHEN will it be ready? 12:10? 12:30? 12:45? 1:00? If the order is going to be ready at 12pm, it should simply say "at 12pm". There's zero reason for it to say "after 12pm!"
We also have customers show up AFTER the allotted pickup time expecting their meal to be ready and hot because they were informed they could arrive "after" the pickup time. However, since we are not magicians, we can't keep their food hot for an unknown period of time. We CAN provide hot food at the time they choose, but when the language indicates they can arrive "after" their pickup time, the expectation is they can get their hot meal whenever they show up. This is not the case!
We get unnecessary phone calls and emails as a result of this and as I already stated, customers show up late and then end up with cold food and are upset about it. It's a major problem!!! I spoke with your team about this back in April, and there are a ton of comments about it on these boards. This is causing restaurants a huge headache.
PLEASE CHANGE THE LANGUAGE ON THE WEBSITE AND IN CONFIRMATION EMAILS OR AT LEAST ALLOW US TO EDIT IT OURSELVES.
Thank you.
Same issue here, finding this very frustrating !
Has this be resolved in any way, any help would be much appreciated 🙂
Scrap the ‘after’ - simple!!
Same problem, and yes it's VERY frustrating!
We get at least one customer *every day* whose pizza order sits on top of our oven for over an hour before they call us and ask "Is my order ready yet? The email said it would be ready after 4pm but I wasn't sure when to come and pick it up." Ahhh!
This is severely hurting our customer service abilities and also COSTING US MONEY because we often have either cancel & refund the order or we have to re-make the food just so that we're not sending old dried-out pizzas home with people! The online store has been great for business overall, but it's little specific issues like these that keep a sour taste in our mouth.
PLEASE hear us and change "After" to "At"!
