I have a website (non commercial )with weebly and now want to set up a free online store with square for a small selling craft business. Its not a big earner hence going the free simple route. When I tried to set up the store the Square page directed me to my old weebly site. This confused me because I did not know they were linked in fact actively tried to keep the companies separate. However I have already ordered and paid for a card reader and so will attempt to work it out.

I guess my first question is...is this possible? I heard that Square online without a domain name is free.

Second query is how do I start to set this up?

HI, Square obtained Weebly 2018 and is currently combining into one.  The previous Weebly editor is now the Square editor.  Some of the Weebly options and features have been discontinued so it will look and feel different.

Yes, the Square Online Store is free and offers many options and features.  Since you have a website already the new online store would be an additional site.  You would need to contact customer support to advise on how to go forward.
