Can’t Edit DNS Records

I updated my website from a Weebly plan/template to a Square plan and template yesterday. I’m trying to publish with my Square-purchased domain and getting an error that I need to update a couple of DNS records. However, I'm unable to change the DNS records. I’m told by Square chat help it’s because I didn’t verify my domain registration when I purchased it last month. I’ve been told that is I would have received an email from Weebly but I never received it. I was then told I’d need to update the domain registration to trigger a new email. I did that but now told I need to wait up to 2 weeks for an email from ICANN. Supposedly that is now being expedited to 2 days. I’m trying to verify the issue as I’ve received some conflicting information from Square support and can’t wait for my business site to go back online. Anyone familiar with this that can offer any help?

Hey @chillboutique,

Welcome to the Community.

It sounds like the issue is due to the domain not being verified, which is why you’re unable to make DNS changes. When you register a domain, a verification email is typically sent. If you didn’t receive it, be sure to check your inbox and spam folder.

If you still can’t find it, Square Support can manually verify your domain. They’ll just need you to confirm some additional information.

The best next step would be to reach out to CS directly so they can help get this sorted!

I'm having a similar problem when trying to edit the DNS records to point to another host. Whenever I try to change the nameserver or the records and I click Save it gives me an error message saying that it couldn't be saved. I haven't received any emails regarding veryfing the domain which is also very weird cause they didn't say anything about this when I purchased the domain at first. I'm also trying to getting in contact with the CS but they take ages to reply and the first time told them this problem they would just go like: "you need simply click edit on the dashboard etc..." like the obvious wtf. Worst CS ever.
