COUPON NOT WORKING

I have read through the thread to see if I can troubleshoot on my own, but none of the recommendations worked for me. This is SO FRUSTRATING when trying to run our own business. The coupon code DOES NOT work. I have tried on multiple devices, different web browsers, cleared cache & cookies - IT DOES NOT WORK.

The first thing I’d check is the way it’s typed. This box is case-specific, so “bogoglass” is different than “BOGOGLASS.” Also, be sure there are no spaces before or after your coupon name since those would count as characters. 

After that, let’s verify you’ve created the coupon code in the right spot. I’ve been confused by this one in the past myself. Coupon codes for online sales are created at Dashboard > Marketing > Coupons. It is not a discount according to Square. 

Do also know that you can’t exactly create a BOGO coupon here, meaning the code could be applied in a way you’re not intending. 

The closest way I’ve found is to do a 50% off coupon for a specific item, then under the Conditions section choose the option to limit to sales over a certain amount then put in the price of that item. That way the coupon won’t kick in until there’s two of that item in the cart. A crafty person could figure out that they could have anything else in the cart and trigger the discount though. 

I would recommend looking into automatic discounts for the BOGO promo instead.
