Can item be ship from two different locations on one Square site?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: 2 locations 1 website

 

I've been trying to get my website up and running, and it's been more of a pain than I expected. I built my previous website from Wix, but I decided to close it and move to Square so I could keep track of inventory.

 

The problem I am having is that my 2 store locations do not carry the same items. However, Square told me I had to have the pick-up option toggled for both store locations. When I didn't, I was having 404 errors. I have only found that Square only allows you to choose one store location for shipping. Because Location#1 doesn't always carry the same as Location#2 the inventory is 0 for Location #1 and, for example, 10 for Location#2. 

 

Since shipping is coming from location #1 I'm having "out of stock" come up on the item or a 404 code. But if I put in inventory, it's fixed. However, that now messes up my inventory count. 

I've spoken to 3 different square representatives in the past 2 days.  I hope that this makes sense, and someone can please help me out.

I checked with our team, and currently, it’s not possible to set up more than one “ship from” location within a single site. One workaround would be to create an additional site for the second location and include links on your main website to direct customers to each site. I understand this isn't ideal, but it's the best solution available at the moment.

Thank you for the reply. Yea that really isn't ideal and will just confuse my customers. Hopefully Square can come up with a better solution for growing businesses.
