Hi I'm Victoria, I own Victorias House Cleaning LLC, a Chicagoland house cleaner. I started only 6 months ago and was recommended squareapp by a Cleaning content creator named Carly. I Have been curious if there are other cleaners using square that we can share tips and tricks.
Look forward to connecting,
Love,
Victoria
I’m not a house cleaner, but I can think of a few Square features that might help you.
Subscriptions – You could set up recurring billing so clients sign up for a package, like “10 cleans for X dollars.”
Recurring Invoices – Great for your regular customers who expect consistent billing.
House Accounts – Let clients sign for services and bill them later if that fits your model.
Square Marketing – Useful for building your client list and reaching people who only book a cleaning once in a while.
And if your client base grows large enough, you could even bring on someone as an independent contractor and assign them some of your clients.
I would make sure you have tap to pay enabled or have the square dip/chip reader for all payments..don't use swipe if you can help. Just safer for you on chargebacks. I would even look at getting a square terminal with a printer if you want receipts, but that is an outlier.
Just some thoughts that might help!
Hey Victoria 👋✨
Welcome and congrats on starting your cleaning biz—6 months in is huge! 🎉 Square’s definitely a solid choice for keeping things smooth and organized (and Carly gives great tips). You’ll find quite a few cleaners, organizers, and other service-based folks here—we’ve all had to figure out little tricks for things like recurring invoices, deposits, and scheduling.
Would love to swap ideas with you—always something new to learn when it comes to running the business side of cleaning 🧹💪. You’re in the right place!
