A question towards the devs and builders of square

Hey there
is Square going to do more updates towards people who use the POS and the website for restaurants/food trucks.
i just find it ridiculous that the online ordering still accepts orders on the days i am closed, lack of integration with google ordering, amongst other minor things where Toast and Clover have the higher ground.

is Square gonna do more to retain us?

Are there specific features you're missing? The ideate section is great for requesting specific features, it's not an instant solution but it does give them feedback on what we're looking for.

While I'm not an expert on food trucks or restaurants you should be able to set your hours so that it's only allowing orders on days you're open. You could also turn off online ordering if you're only open infrequently.

I've never used Toast or Clover but I've worked with a lot of legacy/older POS systems, Square is actually far more receptive to feedback than most of their competitors. There are a lot of feedback sessions where they take our feedback straight to the developers. The issue is that software isn't an overnight process and takes time otherwise bugs crop up that can critically affect the finished product.

well the issues are very basic that it doesnt need to take THAT long....
for example... online order for me as a restaurant
i am closed on monday and tuesday yet customers are allowed to place an order that day.
yes i know about the editing of category hours but still customer can click on the most popular section.
its just basic stuff .... i dont need to go into the system every sunday and turn off online ordering and then back on when i open on wednesday ...
not to mention any time you wanna do something with marketing you gotta pay money here and there..
