Socket Scanner 700 has not been consistently reading barcodes for about the last three weeks. Have switched scanner and have same result. Have trouble shooted with square, but can't figure out.
@julievanwagenen Have you tried resetting the scanner and setting it back up as HID Keyboard Mode, the barcodes to reset and setup in HID mode should be in the manual. Also have you checked to make sure the scanner is properly charged? One other thing to try go to settings and make sure the scanner is staying connected via Bluetooth.
Hopefully one of these will fix your problem.
Thank you for the information! I am cautiously optomistic that I have fixed it. After square told me I needed a new printer,
I found some information that told me to try to fix the print density to light or medium for my labels and I think that it worked.
If ink is too think , it can't correctly read the white area of the stickers. The adjustment was made in windows. We shall see!
I've ran into that, I think I tried at one time to print at 300 dpi and it made the lines too close together and our barcode readers couldn't read them.
