I'm posting this in the hardware forum, as I'm not sure were elese the issue should go.
This is an annoying bug as it confuses lots of clerks that don't know all the inventory.
When scanned, items currently gets added to the customer purchase automatically (sometimes NOT) depending of the configuration of it. The behaviour happend depending if the items variant are populated with a GTIN / SKU number.
Article will be automatically added if the following conditions are met.

If not, the clerk have to manually select from within the multiple items variant that are shown (see video) and they cannot properly see items number, this create errors and confusion. Configuration are as follow:

Please help. I'm considering re-importing ALL my part database with GTIN and SKU with same number so it can work.

We have a Square stand, with standard Square app (not retail)
Bluetooth barcode scanner
Ipad Square 6.92.2so on an iPad
Square version 6.55.1.w

Yes this is frustrating, I don't understand why 😞 i have tried the interface twice with no luck 😞

Apparently this beahviour won't happend in the upgraded version of Retail.
This is a bummer! Still I think it is not behaving correctly.
