Unable to verify identity

Hi,

my partner is trying to set up the squareup card payment through the card reader and she can’t verify her account her Medicare and passport isn’t working and she doesn’t have a license. We are guessing from others that it is a credit file issue as we assume she wouldn’t have one as she’s 20 and doesn’t have loans or credit cards. She does have an ABN for her business and we read she could use that to verify however we have had no luck we would really like some help.

As a starting point, I'd suggest going through our troubleshooting steps to make sure you've covered all the bases on your end. Just to clarify, Square won't run a credit check, but we do use the data from credit files to assist in verifying the information provided.


If your partner is currently unable to sign up, it might be a good idea to give it another shot in a few months. Sometimes, a little time can make all the difference, and they might find the sign-up process goes smoother on the second try.
