Is a card reader from an old account able to be used on a new account?

I opened new account yesterday, I found my old square reader last night.

Is there any way to make it work for my new account?

You can certainly use your reader with a different Square account. The card readers and hardware are not account-specific.

It turns out that one was antiquated and not compatible with my phone, so I have to order another.
