Tap to Pay on iPhone and team member type

Square says that a team member must be assigned Administrator in order to use Tap to Pay on an iPhone.  But Administrator has access to ALL options including adding new team members and turning ON Tips and such.  Have you found another way to allow team members to use Tap to Pay on an iPhone?

 

I don't want to order more readers as we only use it periodically for our fundraising.

Hey @Laura18, thanks for your post!

Your employees can use Tap to Pay on iPhone, but only an Account Owner or a team member with Administrator permissions can enable and disable this feature. As the Account Owner, you'll need to enable Tap to Pay on your iPhone first. 


Once enabled, all team members with eligible devices should automatically have access to use Tap to Pay on iPhone, regardless of their permission level. They will also find tutorials on how to use this feature within the app.


If you’ve already enabled Tap to Pay on your own iPhone, but your employees are having trouble accessing it from their devices, please let me know, and we can investigate further.
