I have a new square terminal, hub, honeywell voyager 1200 usb scanner and APG usb cash drawer - the issue i have is that when the equipment is hooked to the terminal stand alone or to the tablet without the terminal it all works fine, but when hooking the terminal up utilizing a device code from our android pos tablet neither the scanner or cash drawer will operate. the scanner will beep, cash drawer has power but neither will operate or populate in the android app on the pos tablet. using the square hub.

The Square Terminal Product Team has confirmed that "This is not available when Square Terminal is connected to Square Point of Sale on a tablet or another device. It’s a known limitation.". So this is indeed expected behavior.

I'm happy to help but I'm having a little trouble understanding your setup. All of your hardware should be connected to the Square Terminal's USB hub, as outlined here. Where is the tablet coming into play? Do you have it connected to your Terminal as a display?

Yes, all devices are connected to the hub, we are trying to use the tablet as our seller display and the square terminal strictly for customers

thank you for the reply, setting up and linking the tablet to the terminal works fine, its just that the scanner and cash drawer wont work with the tablet connected. Unfortunately I have a trade show in a week and can't spend any more time on this system, going to just return it all and have a local retailer set me up with another solution. Appreciate your time
