Is there a way to disable the fact that passcode entry is now required upon Square Terminal powerup (if you're using passcodes)?
Our whole use case for passcodes was that the terminal could be powered up and be ready for sales activity immediately, while the setup and reporting functions were protected by passcodes. Now if you have to enter a passcode on powerup, you immediately have access to all of that protected stuff which we don't want (unless you go to set up and manually log off the account owner).
We could turn off passcodes altogether, but then all the setup and reporting stuff is available all the time.
This change does not make sense for us and I'm trying to figure out what's the best way to alter the configuration. Thanks for any ideas,

The passcode is one way to login to your account and keep the devices sepperate. I think your looking in to team permissions. You get 2 with Square for free, An owner and you can create a sales user for example to keep sales users from seeing everything.
Here is more on team permissions : 5822-employee-permissions
This would have each user logging into your account with a 4 digit pin also, and then they can see only things you allow team members to see.
